Talk:C'mon Digimon: The capering monster BUN

From Wikimon

Year of release?[edit]

When was the manga released? While it is obviously based on the very first V-Pet, this Japanese Digimon debut list implies that the manga was not released in 1997, but later as a bonus feature in a V-Tamer volume. Does anybody know more? It affects the year of debut in the articles of Bun and the various forms of Deathmon. --Grandy02 10:00, 7 June 2012 (CDT)

I'm finding information dating it to around 1997 on this page though because of the unicode the text minus numbers turns into complete jibberish for me. I also have the Digital Monster v-pet guide from 1997 that contains comics from the same artist using the exact monster designs used in C'mon (some are shown on that page). Also, Digital Monster Residence lists C'mon as published in Akamaru Jump in the summer of 1997 here.--devkyu (talk) 22:57, 25 August 2013 (CDT)
Okay, thanks! --Grandy02 (talk) 12:14, 17 September 2013 (CDT)
I'm not sure whether this is of any help, but this ebay auction for the Summer 1997 Akamaru Jump (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Japanese-Magazine-Akamaru-Jump-1997-SUMMER-Naruto-First-One-Shot-EXTREMELY-RARE-/111689376413?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1a0134a29d&nma=true&si=M6YTOh38imLcN7o7omv1NhgTY6Y%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557) has a picture of the title page which seems to give a date of 9/28/97.

Appearance/debut order[edit]

As of now, we know that this one-shot was released on September 28, 1997. So (even if the author said that it was written in the summer of that year) this means that it's not the first Digimon manga ever published, because Go! Go!! Digimon was released on September 8, 1997. So my question is: since the Digimon from Digital Monster Ver. 1 all appear in both the issues, shall we change their manga debut from C'mon Digimon to Go Go Digimon????? It would be chronologically correct. The Digimon i'm referring to are:

Also, i'm not even sure about which appearances to count as such, bc Go!Go!Digimon is a guide book in the form of a 4th wall-breaking manga, so every digimon from the toy is mentioned, but only few of them actually have a role in the story. --Astubudustu (talk) 08:44, 30 March 2025 (CDT)
