Those who have fallen from heaven should absolutely fear this beast. Possessing a huge body covered in gold fur and beautiful wings, contrary to its terrifying appearance, Dalphomon is an Ultimate Digimon that acts like an Angel Digimon, despite being a Beast.
It usually floats in the sky, hiding itself in cumulonimbus clouds, and rarely interacts with other Digimon.
It values the elegant physical forms of beasts most of all, and believes that it can become a higher-ranking being by taking in pure data from species such as Angels or Holy Beasts. For that reason, it despises Machine and Cyborg Digimon, who are willing to modify their bodies, above all else.
Its Special Move is firing laser beams that home in on the enemy from the green jewels on its head and forelegs (Prophet of Elijah). It grabs Digimon with the capture device attached to the tip of its tail, and then eternally seals them within its body without sending them to the Dark Area (Jail Maon). Its "Brutal Halo" amplifies the ultra-high temperature breath it spews out via its bone halo, incinerating configuration data except for the Digicore.

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Dalphomon is one of the two Gods of Cross Connectia with the other being Metatromon. According to Unchained's notes, Dalphomon had a severe feud with Metatromon; when Metatromon tried to reach and warn it about the Digital World's impending ruin, it refused to listen and chose to stay there.

It crosses over to Lacuna alongside Cool Boy in "DIGIMON / LIBERATOR (Part 1)" where it immediately attacks Unchain and Metatromon, only to be bounced off their barrier. Metatromon then absorbs it to evolve into Ex Maquinamon. While this gives Unchain the Cross Connectia data they needed for their plan to merge both worlds into a true Digital World, it also triggers the Trojan horse Cool Boy had installed inside Dalphomon's Digicore which causes an Alter Ride that turns Unchain into an NPC so they cannot turn down any battle request.

Novel[edit]

Digimon Liberator[edit]

Dalphomon is one of the two Gods of Cross Connectia. It has a deep feud against Metatromon and refused to cooperate with it even if the Digital World was in ruins. The Guardians, led by Mistymon, follow and defend it. While aware of the imminent collapse of its world, Dalphomon has chosen to accept it, instead of allowing the Digimon in it to migrate to Lacuna, which causes it to come into verbal conflict with Cool Boy.

References Notes
  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Dalphomon's attacks are all given two different spellings in the English version of the Digimon Reference Book. The special move list uses seemingly-incorrect spellings that don't properly capitalize all words, while the profile uses what seem to be the correct spellings. Other than the capitalization, the English Digimon Reference Book also shows the following differences:
    • Prophet of Elijah: lacks an "of" in the special move list that exists in both the Japanese version and the English profile.
    • Jail Maon: the profile spells it as a single word.
