Digimon Liberator
Ex Maquinamon is the Partner Digimon of Unchain, known as the "Digimon Liberator". A Digimon referred to as a god-like being, it is the cornerstone of Unchain's plan to merge both LACUNA and Cross Connectia into a single world inhabited by only Maquinamon.
Metatromon evolves into this form in "DIGIMON / LIBERATOR" by absorbing Dalphomon. However, Dalphomon was hacked by Cool Boy to carry a trojan before being absorbed by Metatromon, which caused Unchain's programming to become like those of a regular NPC, meaning that they cannot refuse any and all duel requests.
Novel
Digimon Liberator
In "CROSS CHRONICLE", Ex Maquinamon is mentioned retrospectively as having used Eschaton, bringing LACUNA and Cross Connectia to the verge of colliding and merging, and threatening to reset the lives of all Digimon. The crisis was ultimately averted with the help of Mistymon's group. Ex Maquinamon does not appear directly in the scene.
