A Demon Dragon Digimon that is called the "Deep-crimson Demon Dragon". The childishness it had when it was Guilmon has vanished, and it evolved into a wilder, more brutal Digimon. Also, although it is a Virus Digimon, it may battle for justice depending on how it was raised by its Tamer, because it will be faithfully obedient. Growmon's roar has the power to shake the solid earth, and before battle it raises its voice to an offensive roar to intimidate the opponent. Its Signature Move is developing plasma along the blades on both of its elbows, then striking the opponent (Plasma Blade). Its Special Move is spewing out a powerful blaze with a roar (Exhaust Flame).

Digimon Tamers[edit]

Growmon is the partner Digimon of Matsuda Takato. He evolves from Guilmon when Takato swipes an evolution card through his D-Ark. Unfortunately, when he first evolved, he was unable to immediately revert. Takato and Lee Jianliang tried several different ways to remedy this, though they all, ultimately, proved unsuccessful. Eventually, after witnessing a rainbow with Takato, he reverted back to Guilmon.

During the events of "Stand Up Tamer! - The Super Evolved Megalo Growmon", he battled the Deva Digimon, Mihiramon. He was losing until Takato swiped the mysterious blue card through his D-Ark, allowing Growmon to evolve into his perfect form; Megalo Growmon.

He would later appear various other times, to battle other Digimon, or ferry Takato and co. around to other areas.

A Growmon owned by a group of Demons Hackers pins down Aiba Takumi with its claw, taking advantage of him being distracted by the stolen account data he found inside the Demons' secret base, despite his Terriermon trying to warn him. Said Growmon is later defeated by Terriermon, alongside Takumi's other two Digimon, Hagurumon and Palmon, after Takumi performed a Connect Jump to enter the secret base's terminal and messed it up.

Three more Growmon were sent by a blond Hacker after Takumi's team after they evolved into Galgomon, Guardromon and Togemon, but they were easily defeated by the latter three.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]

Taiga met a Growmon at the exit of Railroad Plains to Fluorescent Cave. It was meant to meet up with its friend then go to said cave to pick up flowers, but it never showed up, so it asked Taiga to recruit people for the Village of Beginnings as he'd be able to obtain information once the Prosperity Rate exceeded 15 and that may make its friend remember their promise. Until he does, Growmon won't let Taiga through into Fluorescent Cave, arguing it's too dangerous for a human.

After reaching 15 prosperity, Growmon and Tukaimon reunite and enter Fluorescent Cave. The next day, Growmon sends Taiga a mail with a Growmon card as thanks. Inside Fluorescent Cave, Taiga finds the duo fascinated at the beauty of the cave. Later, Growmon breaks out of it and realizes they have to go back to the Village of Beginnings to sell the rare plants they found in the Fluorescent Cave. Growmon then sends Taiga a mail with a Silver Tiara accessory attached from Tukaimon and explaining they opened their rare plants shop in the back alley across the Meat Field.

Growmon is the receptionist of the Colosseum's 20th floor.
