Digimon Adventure[edit]
Anomalocarimon was a minion of Metal Seadramon's Deep Savers army, appearing in "The Hardened King of the Seas! Metal Seadramon". Shortly after the Chosen Children's first battle with the Dark Masters, they found themselves on a beach and managed to escape an attack by Shellmon, to come across what appeared to be a snack bar. Rushing toward it, Tachikawa Mimi tripped and Kido Jou stayed back to help her, while the others ran on ahead, only to be attacked by Anomalocarimon. He used his Suna Shower attack to knock them out, and then Metal Seadramon appeared to give Anomalocarimon clams as his reward. Anomalocarimon loved clams to the point of obsession. However, as soon as Metal Seadramon realized that two Chosen Children were missing, he ordered Anomalocarimon to search for them, which he did, chasing Mimi and Jou across the beach. Fortunately for them, he was not the fittest of Digimon and could not keep up – but when they started interfering with his clams, he attacked them again. Zudomon and Lilimon knocked him out, and dragged him back to the snack bar, where they rescued the other Chosen Children and left Anomalocarimon in their place. When Metal Seadramon found this out, he grabbed Anomalocarimon, hoisted him high into the air and let him fall. He disappeared in the dust cloud created by the impact resulting in his death.
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
Three years later, when wild Digimon were appearing all over Earth, an Anomalocarimon appeared in Australia, near the Great Barrier Reef in "Coral and Versailles, The Battle Royal!". Kido Jou and Ikkakumon were there, along with Hida Iori and Submarimon and Ikkakumon evolved into Zudomon to fight the Anomalocarimon, but the ferocity of their battle threatened to destroy the reef. Also present was Dingo, an Australian chosen boy and his partner Ganimon, who evolved to Coelamon to help Zudomon and Submarimon defeat the Anomalocarimon, destroy the Dark Tower and send the Digimon back to the Digital World.
Digimon Tamers: The Adventurers' Battle[edit]
An Anomalocarimon was amongst some of the Digimon who were sent by Mephismon to capture Uehara Minami so she could be used to force the location of the V-Pet vaccine program out of her father. The Anomalocarimon attacked the shrine that was home to Matsuda Takato’s cousin, Urazoe Kai, and his grandfather, but Guilmon engaged it in battle, managing to defeat it with the help of an Aero Wing card.

Digimon Adventure[edit]
An Anomalocarimon was one of the spectators of the Colosseum's DigiOne Grand Prix in Sub-Episode 10, "DigiOne Grand Prix".
Another Anomalocarimon showed himself to the Chosen Children as they found a beach hut in Episode 50, "Nostalgic Beach". Depending on the player's choice, this event may go in two ways:
- If Kido Jo merely says this is a trap, the Chosen Children sans Jo and Tachikawa Mimi will go into the hut, then Anomalocarimon will appear and explain that the beach hut was in fact a trap that absorbed their energy, letting Anomalocarimon catch the Chosen Children. However, since Jo and Mimi didn't enter the hut, they were safe.
- If Jo fully refuses to go in, Yagami Taichi will take Jo seriously and the Chosen Children will not go into the hut. Anomalocarimon will then appear and attempt to force them into the hut instead. Jo quickly realizes he's a minion of the Dark Masters, and therefore, Takenouchi Sora that the beach hut was a trap.
Either way, Anomalocarimon then attacks the ones whose energy wasn't drained, deciding to take their energy after defeating them instead.
Anomalocarimon is the 57th obligatory boss of the game, fighting either Gomamon and Palmon or all the Chosen Children at the end of Episode 50, "Nostalgic Beach". He can deal multiple hits to one Digimon with Stinger Surprise, deal multiple blows to the entire party, Sticky and Shock with Suna Shower; or deal damage to one Digimon with Tail Blade. After being defeated, he drops an Iron Shell.
After Metal Seadramon arrived at the beach, Anomalocarimon told him that they had probably fled into the sea on Whamon. Metal Seadramon was sure they could not run away from him on the sea though.
Anomalocarimon appear as random encounters starting from Digital Dungeon: ζ.
