A Machine Digimon that evolved via the data of various ball games from around the world. With a cannon in one hand capable of shooting all kinds of balls, it plans to popularize ball games throughout the Digital World. Shootmon is nicknamed the "Laughing Oni Coach" by Digimon that fear it because it approaches them with a smiling face that never changes whether it is angry or happy.
Its Special Moves are shooting balls from its cannon at speeds exceeding 300 km/h (Cannonball Shooter), and charging into the enemy by capitalizing on its elastic, spring-like legs (Wild Pitch). Also, Digimon who suffer its "Round Jail", where it turns anything it touches into a ball without wasting its breath, are mercilessly shot out of its cannon.
