Aegiomon is the protagonist of the Olympos XII storyline in Digimon Crusader and bears the title "Child of Destiny". It was originally Jupitermon, one of the Olympos XII, but returned to a Digitama and escaped to the Digital World governed by Yggdrasill. It hatched there with its memories lost. As it faces various trials, it awakens its dormant power and can evolve into different forms of Aegiochusmon. After recovering its memories and power, it evolves into Aegiochusmon: Holy and then returns to its Jupitermon form.

Digimon Crusader[edit]
Aegiomon is the protagonist of the Olympos XII storyline. After Titamon attacks the forest where it lives, Aegiomon asks the player for help. Following its defeat by Titamon, Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode trains Aegiomon to release the power dormant within it. As Aegiomon travels through the Digital World, it faces a series of trials: Ceresmon attacks it in the name of a trial, Cerberumon challenges it to prove that it is the Child of Fate, Marsmon makes it compete in a tournament, and Mercurymon draws it into a confrontation with Minotarumon. These encounters awaken different powers within Aegiomon, allowing it to take on several Aegiochusmon forms. Meanwhile, the Titans begin targeting it, fearing that its continued awakening will endanger the Digital World: Iliad. Aegiomon gradually learns about Iliad and the conflict between the Olympos XII and the Titans. Bacchusmon helps it awaken the last of its power, allowing it to recover its memories: it was born in Iliad and was once Jupitermon.
