English[edit]

  • In the Japanese version, Seiko says that she always thought Renamon was a kitsune, a mythical Japanese fox spirit. The dub changes this to a “guardian angel”.
  • Most of the reflective essays the children write are made more comedic in the dub.
  • A scene of Ruki’s mother pouring wine is cut. The following scene of her acting drunk is rewritten so that she is blushing because she is proud to see her daughter in a dress.
