Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]
Megalo Growmon is the Partner Digimon of Matsuda Takato. He can be fought in the Colosseum 40th floor Free Battle: "Digimon Tamer?".
Megalo Growmon is a terrifying Digimon that appeared suddenly in Gravel Wasteland. While pursuing Vitium Adult, Taiga, Rindou Akiho, Nicolai Petrov and Mikagura Mirei found Megalo Growmon instead, cloaked in black smoke. Despite that, Megalo Growmon was still in control of itself, as it realized that the Garbage Data that went to the Memorial Stella was taking over its mind. However, this didn't last, and it suddenly became completely loyal to Vitium, proclaiming it'd eliminate anyone who approached it. After being defeated by Digimaru and Sashenka, it was liberated from the dark smoke, and decided to leave the Gravel Wasteland to someone stronger. The Memorial Stella was then restored and Taiga took the Garbage Data that caused it to go berserk.
Taiga later met Megalo Growmon again in the Gravel Wasteland. It was ashamed of being used by an evil force and realized it took someone that had power but didn't lose themself to it to save the world. Seeing Taiga as that person, it entrusts him with the War Cry skill, hoping he'll use it to bring peace to the world. It then returns to the Village of Beginnings. Afterwards, it sends Taiga a mail with a Gigantic Twin Blades attached, an item containing its power which it hopes Taiga will use in his adventures alongside War Cry.
A Megalo Growmon and a Black Megalo Growmon are used by two GIGO Company employees for the "Promotion Chance [30F]" Free Battle at the Colosseum. Apart from moving on to the next floor, this awards Taiga the Teacher Beret accessory.
A Megalo Growmon and a Rize Greymon, covered in black smoke, appeared in the Digitower after Taiga and Kuga Yuuya defeated Black War Greymon. Yuuya, who was tired of the previous fight, got back up and told the rest to continue as he held them off. Akiho stayed behind to help him.
