When Gennai tells the story of the Original Chosen Children defeating the evil sealed behind the Wall of Fire, Daigo is seen as a silhouette though is represented by one of the Digimon Adventure kids rather than himself since his design didn't exist for another 15 years in real life.

Nishijima Daigo was Yagami Taichi's teacher, and one of the original Chosen Children before Taichi's group. He sacrificed his life to allow Taichi to recover Motomiya Daisuke's group.
