GaruruGreymon[edit]

Do you have a source for this? the game that it's sourced for shows Omegamon - http://photobucket.com/gallery/http://s8.photobucket.com/user/Lanate/media/Digimon%20Screenshots/Digimon%20Adventure%20-%20Anode%20Tamer%20-%20Omegamon%20Profile_zps4bq7vgzq.png.html Muur (talk) 19:04, 21 September 2018 (CDT)

First I've heard of this, but the only source I can find for it is the Japanese Wikipedia and derivative pages, which mention Anode/Cathode Tamer. As far as I know, though, Omegamon didn't even appear in Anode/Cathode Tamer. --TMS (talk) 20:42, 21 September 2018 (EST)
The page on here (the game) states you get one by "Only available by event distribution" but still, the Omegamon page here sites GaruruGreymon and an admin over at the DigiWiki posted that pic which apparently is from the game but that pic Lanate provided seems to show that whoever put "GaruruGreymon" on here 10+ years ago was trolling unless someone can find a source to back it up.Muur (talk) 19:49, 21 September 2018 (CDT)
I would go ahead and remove it unless someone comes along with better evidence. --TMS (talk) 21:23, 21 September 2018 (EST)
I've found "sources" that state "GaruruGreymon" and there's a lot of them but they might just be taking info from Wikis. or something? (And some in English, though TVTropes is also a Wikia):

all these state that Anode uses GGmon, due to the movie not being out yet. That would actually make sense, since Anode came out in August 1999, which is before the movie. i found a video of Omnimon but it was from the combined Anode/Cathode and he had the correct name (which came out after the movie).

I also found this guy's tweet where he states it as well but his picture doesn't use ガルルグレイモン so it doesn't make sense (unless you can rename Digimon and he fixed it?)-

https://twitter.com/yur_tw/status/468446194406936576

there's also more pages that state the anode ガルルグレイモン , I got bored of finding them.

But there's also the fact this wiki states the dub name of Mameo is "Hiro" in Digimon World 1, despite that literally not being the caseMuur (talk) 20:29, 21 September 2018 (CDT)

It might be instructive to have someone translate the parenthetical note in that first link. Google Translate gives it as, "Postscript: Although it seems that it will become Omegamon notation in Variable and an illustration, it can not be verified." --TMS (talk) 21:46, 21 September 2018 (EST)
So that seems to be stating that "I heard it was called GGmon but I can't verify this". To me, it seems like someone 15-20 years ago posted the info (on the Japanese wiki?) and everyone believed it, because whilst all these "sources" state it, they're probably from Japanese Wiki/this wiki/digimon wiki etc. Also, I thought you could read Japanese?.Muur (talk) 20:54, 21 September 2018 (CDT)
No, I can't read Japanese. I can read hiragana and katakana, and recognize certain limited kanji and particles, but my grasp of the grammar is imperfect, so that complex sentences are best translated by people who know the language better. For me a full translation is a somewhat painstaking process. --TMS (talk) 22:29, 21 September 2018 (EST)
For what it's worth, this video says Omegamon was distributed on events as a Variable Move, however the hint-giving Digimon on the town call it "GaruruGreymon". ShikaSS (talk) 21:34, 24 June 2022 (CDT)

Size[edit]

Ainz, what are the sources for the sizes on this page?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 09:02, 22 September 2020 (CDT)

Omega Heal[edit]

In Digimon World 2, Omegamon has a healing skill called Omega Heal. However, it was dummied out of the game. It is still accessible via a cheat device, so I wonder if it would be worth including in the list of attacks.--Yamato-san (talk) 04:49, 18 February 2021 (CST)

I suppose I wouldn't object to its being included. We list WereGarurumon's Glacial Blast for Digimon World, even though WereGarurumon wasn't in the finished game. Do you have a screenshot or something? --TMS (talk) 12:57, 18 February 2021 (EST)
I'm personally against that, as well as the WereGarurumon one, on the basis that being removed means it's non canon.Muur (talk) 18:41, 18 February 2021 (CST)
Just add a note saying it was removed from the game. ShikaSS (talk) 19:14, 18 February 2021 (CST)
