Why are the titles hidden? As far as I know Aegiomon is literally called the Great Guardian (or Guardian for that matter) in Time Stranger. The Child of fate thing I don't know but Junomon and Minervamon called him Great Guardian multiple times.--R13 (talk) 14:25, 3 September 2026 (CDT)
- That title is applied to his entire line, not just the Aegiomon species, it's character-specific (doesn't apply to a raised Aegiomon, for example), and for what it's worth it also turns out it's a case of mistaken identity.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 14:47, 3 September 2026 (CDT)
- "Character-Specific" isn't really it because a couple of Digimon had character-specific titles (e.g. Junomon or GG Sealsdramon, but there are probably several others that I don't remember), and it's predominantly used to refer to base Aegiomon in that game. - Junomon called him the Great Guardian because she thought he was the reincarnation of Chronomon. He wasn't. The *actual* Great Guardian was Chronomon, it's his title. Except, that was *also* wrong. Because Chronomon was the villain and lied, causing them to call him Great Guardian. So it was only called that based on Chronomon lying and gaslighting people for decades. So that's not a real "title" either. Great Guardian - Chronomon. Junomon thought Aegiomon was Chronomon, so carried the name over. And so, it quite literally cannot apply to Aegiomon. Also, he literally rejects the title and leaves with Inori - causing Junomon to become Hysteric. So in that sense, it doesn't actually apply to anyone because Chronomon was called it based on lies, aegiomon isnt his reincarnation - and aegiomon literally turned it down. - Muur, that’s not what happened. Aegiomon was repeatedly recognized as the "Guardian" because Junomon and the others saw him as Chronomon's heir and chosen envoy—which he genuinely was. Aegiomon therefore inherited the title as the one supposedly destined to protect Iliad from the Titans' invasion, since Chronomon was allegedly unable to do so itself. The fact that Chronomon was manipulating everyone does not change the fact that Aegiomon was the one entrusted with protecting Iliad, ultimately did protect it, and earned that distinction as a result. Regardless of whether Chronomon's intentions were genuine, Aegiomon is no less the Guardian. Chronomon is the Warden of Time; it was never referred to as the "Guardian", if I remember correctly—though I could be mistaken. - Chronomon is actually referred to as the "Hero" and the "Guardian" is the Digimon in the Egg. Also nowhere in-game mentions that Junomon thought Chronomon was the Great Guardian, she always thought Aegiomon is. Shadow Shinji is right here.--R13 (talk) 16:52, 3 September 2026 (CDT)

- Yeah, we've been discussing whether certain titles should be listed on the species page or only on the relevant character page. I think the general consensus so far is that, if a title is inherently tied to a specific continuity and wouldn't really make sense when applied to other incarnations of the same Digimon—for example, XW Beelzebumon's "Goddess's Warrior"—then it's better placed on the character page. "Guardian" and "Child of Fate" seem to refer specifically to Aegiomon's roles in those respective storylines, rather than to characteristics, abilities, or descriptive traits that could potentially apply to the species as a whole, so they've been moved to Aegiomon's character pages for Time Stranger and Crusader, respectively. Some editors were concerned that having "Guardian" on the species page could mislead readers, though I'm not entirely sold on that argument, since I think potential confusion could be addressed with proper sourcing and even explanatory notes, so on that point I tend to agree more with you, R13. "The Wise Warden Homeros, overseer of law and order, and the Great Guardian Chronomon, protector of Iliad's inhabitants." Junomon claims that the egg is Chronomon reviving itself from death, which isn't accurate either, as Chronomon didn't die -- he was imprisoned.
