L&R Wars
The L&R Wars (LとRの戦 L to R no Sen) was a conflict that formed the central storyline of the Digimon Twin project and Digimon Battle Terminal 02. Elements of the conflict were also depicted in the promotional Digimon Web Comic.
The conflict began amid the spread of Tempest, a crack program that infected numerous Digimon, including the Four Holy Beasts. The Tamers opposing them were divided into two rival armies: Liberation, which primarily consisted of fast Beast-type Digimon, and Revolution, which primarily consisted of powerful Dragon-type Digimon. Although both armies fought against the same threat, they also competed with one another for supremacy.

Liberation and Revolution[edit]
As the Tempest infection spread throughout the Digital World, the participating Tamers separated into the Liberation and Revolution armies. Their rivalry prevented them from effectively cooperating against the infected Digimon.
During a battle against an infected Qinglongmon, Dukemon of the Royal Knights and Metal Garurumon each attempted to defeat it independently. Because they refused to cooperate, both were defeated without inflicting any damage on Qinglongmon.
The Digimon and their Tamers eventually decided to cooperate and succeeded in defeating Qinglongmon, although their Digimon died in the battle. After being freed from Tempest's influence, Qinglongmon granted the fallen Digimon a special program before departing to rest. The program altered their data and produced two previously unseen Digitama, from which Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon later hatched.
United Tamers[edit]
Commander Yuu, a neutral commander unaffiliated with either army, sought to bring an end to the disorderly conflict between Liberation and Revolution. Rather than subduing them by force, he organized battles intended to strengthen the bonds between the Tamers and their Partner Digimon and encourage cooperation between the two sides.
Through Commander Yuu's efforts, Liberation and Revolution were eventually united as the United Tamers. The newly formed army subsequently confronted the greater threats facing the Digital World.
Final battles[edit]
The Dark Area eventually manifested at the center of the Digital World, leading to the emergence of an infected Huanglongmon and Ogudomon. The United Tamers confronted them alongside Examon, ultimately bringing the conflict to an end.

Liberation was an army primarily composed of Beast-type Digimon that specialized in speed. It was associated with the L version of the Digimon Twin.
Revolution[edit]
Revolution was an army primarily composed of Dragon-type Digimon that specialized in power. It was associated with the R version of the Digimon Twin.
United Tamers[edit]
The United Tamers was the combined force formed when Commander Yuu brought Liberation and Revolution together against the threats facing the Digital World.
