Grimmon is the physical form of the egg-shaped virus that attacks SunshineCITY and DarkmoonCITY. He is first encountered in Limit Valley, where he displays control over Shiisamon and several Sand Yanmamon. After the player defeats him, he disappears. He next appears in Access Glacier, with members of the player's team under the control of his virus. The player faces the team's boss Digimon (Ofanimon or Chaos Dukemon) before being able to bring them to their senses. Grimmon then escapes again. Grimmon makes his final appearance in the Chaos Brain, where he merges with the Chrono Core to form Chaos Grimmon.
