Generamon was the second-place winner of the Digimon category of the second Digimon Web Dot-art Contest in 2000. It was submitted by Kanno Rikiya (管野 力也).[1] To date, it has never appeared in any official Digimon media.
A synopsis of the film Digimon Frontier: Revival of the Ancient Digimon!! that was published on Toei Animation's official English website in the 2000s mentions a character called "Generamon" in the same role that Darcmon holds in the released version of the film.[2] No Japanese version of this synopsis is known to exist, so whether Generamon was ever connected to this role in Japanese material is currently unknown. Whether this means that the Generamon from the contest was considered to appear in the film, that the concept of Generamon was reworked into Darcmon (who, unlike Generamon, is a feminine Adult Angel Digimon), whether the "Generamon" referred to here is even the same Generamon from the contest, or whether it was simply a mistake, is also unknown.
