Digimon Academy
The Digimon Academy (デジモン塾, Dejimon Juku, lit. "Digimon Cram School") is a private school introduced in the guide book Digimon Pendulum 2 Deep Savers (V-Jump Books Digital Series), published by Shueisha on January 12, 1999. Operated by Dejimon Soichiro, it teaches knowledge about Digimon to boys and girls who want to become Digimon Tamers. Many children study there with the goal of becoming first-rate Tamers.[1]

Dejimon Soichiro[edit]
Dejimon Soichiro (出寺門 総一郎, Dejimon Sōichirō) is the head of the Digimon Academy and can be relied upon for anything concerning Digimon. In the guide book, Soichiro teaches the appropriate Pendulum method for each Digimon and presents the results in graphs, while his three students put his instructions into practice. He is the only Academy character depicted in a full-body illustration.[1]
Wakuchi Insuke[edit]
Wakuchi Insuke (和久地 院介, Wakuchi Insuke) is an energetic boy who wants to learn everything about Digimon. He is also somewhat prone to getting carried away and wears a bandage across his nose.[1]
Insuke demonstrates the Pendulum methods for the Vaccine-attribute Gomamon, Ikkakumon, Rukamon, Zudomon, and Whamon, as well as Tailmon from Digimon Pendulum 1.5. In response to Soichiro's instructions, he describes the respective methods as a comfortable rhythm that is neither too fast nor too slow; a slightly faster pace that he can maintain; an ordinary and comfortable speed; a very slow pace used while lost in thought; a somewhat slow rhythm; and a pace that is neither too fast nor too slow and works perfectly.
Dee Taeko[edit]
Dee Taeko (出江 多恵子, Dē Taeko) is a somewhat clumsy girl who works hard at raising Digimon.[1]
Taeko demonstrates the Pendulum methods for the Data-attribute Ganimon, Seadramon, Coelamon, Mega Seadramon, and Anomalocarimon, as well as Angewomon from Digimon Pendulum 1.5. In response to Soichiro's instructions, she shakes the device with all her strength while holding her breath; shakes it slightly faster as if making a request; aims for her maximum speed until she is almost out of breath; shakes it extremely slowly and gently enough to begin falling asleep; uses a slightly slow pace that she considers comfortable; and shakes it at what she considers the necessary full-power speed.
Will Stunt[edit]
Will Stunt (ウィル＝スタント, Wiru Sutanto) is a cheerful American boy who relies on enthusiasm and momentum to overcome anything. He is outgoing, excitable, and speaks Japanese with a stereotypically foreign speech pattern. He wears a blue shirt decorated with a star and carries a straw hat around his neck.[1]
Will demonstrates the Pendulum methods for the Virus-attribute Shakomon, Gesomon, Octmon, Marin Devimon, and Dagomon, as well as Holydramon from Digimon Pendulum 1.5. In response to Soichiro's instructions, he shakes the device very slowly; slightly faster and with more force; at either of two speeds that he considers acceptable; to a rhythm suitable for vigorous dancing; at an extremely high speed; and at a fast rhythm that exercises his arm.

Digimon Pendulum 2 Deep Savers (V-Jump Books Digital Series)[edit]
The Academy's members explain the Digimon and training mechanics of the Digimon Pendulum 2.0, along with additional Digimon from the Digimon Pendulum 1.5. Unlike the Digimon Research Institute, where the researchers devise their own experiments, Soichiro provides the Pendulum instructions and the students carry them out and comment on the required speed. Their dialogue focuses almost entirely on Pendulum Actions rather than offering personal observations about the Digimon assigned to them.[1]
The three students' principal assignments are divided according to the Digimon's Attribute: Insuke handles Vaccine Digimon, Taeko handles Data Digimon, and Will handles Virus Digimon. Each is also assigned one additional Digimon from the 1.5 roster. The characters are depicted in full-color illustrations accompanied by text rather than in a conventional manga. Compared with the preceding guide book, fewer character illustrations are included and nearly all show only the characters' upper bodies. The character illustrations were drawn by Hajime Yoshida. The students' ages are not stated.

- The three students' names are puns on the three primary Digimon Attributes: "Wakuchi Insuke" is derived from "Vaccine", "Dee Taeko" from "Data", and "Will Stunt" from "Virus".
- Soichiro's surname, 出寺門, is read Dejimon, making his name another play on "Digimon".
