Chaosmon is the codename for Digimon who "should not exist", and according to the "Central Dogma" of the Digital World, are absolute impossible singularities (bugs). Due to its extremely unstable existence, its lifespan is very short, and it is conjectured that the program being run by the Digital World's managing system which eliminates bugs is causing its lifespan to shorten. This Chaosmon is believed to be born from the Jogress of Bancho Leomon and Darkdramon, and the faces of each Digimon are visible on its arms. Its Special Moves are an unstoppable bisecting slash unleashed from the "BAN-TYO Blade" equipped to its "Bancho Arm" (Haou Ryoudanken), and firing off its own digital cells from the "Gigastick Cannon" equipped to its "Darkdra Arm" (Dark Prominence). His thinking was to create the "strongest chaotic character", so Zexmon was conceptualized as a "Black Omegamon", an enemy version of Omegamon (X-Antibody) to serve as the next "strongest character" to appear post-Digimon Chronicle. The Zexmon concept became the draft proposal for the Digimon that eventually developed into Chaosmon. Moriyama has stated that after this point, he was "at a loss" as to which direction to take the design, and that he produced many discarded concept sketches, many of the ideas in which he thought "deserved better". Chaosmon's final design is consisted of the two flagship ultimate-level Digimon for the Digimon Accel Justice Genome and Digimon Accel Evil Genome V-Pets; Bancho Leomon and Darkdramon. It retains a strong resemblance to Omegamon, with a very similar body plan, proportions, and use of the constituent Digimon as heads/weapons in place of its hands. However, unlike Omegamon where War Greymon and Metal Garurumon are coopted as its weapons in a streamlined manner, Chaosmon's arms appear to be Bancho Leomon and Darkdramon's head crudely sitched onto both of its arms and grossly enlarged, with its two Digicores baring out in the open. You can get Chaosmon by Jogressing Darkdramon and Bancho Leomon, Darkdramon and Valdurmon, or Valdurmon and Bancho Leomon. Both Digimon must be at Lv67 or above, have a total of 70000 experience or more, and 420 Attack or more.

Chaosmon is an obtainable Digimon which is Jogressed from Bancho Leomon and Darkdramon. It can also be obtained as a collectible card.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode

Chaosmon is in the Dark Area, which it considers a sacred place for Digimon, the realm of the dead. It refuses to allow Taiga in if he doesn't come with a clear purpouse. When Taiga asks it about the Dark Area, it says humans can't understand it in full as their idea of death is different than a Digimon's.

Taiga comes back alongside Shinomiya Rina during the Scheme of the Demon Lords chapter (策謀の魔王篇 Sakubō no Maō-hen) to look for Belphemon. Chaosmon tells them Belphemon is likely asleep and they can't see its true power that way, though a very noisy person could wake it up. Later on, Taiga comes back once again, this time on his own, to look for Leviamon. Chaosmon asks him what he thinks he can do against such an overwhelmingly large beast, then tells him to head to the far northeast if he feels prepared.

At the end of Floor 11 of Infinity Mountain, Taiga and Kuga Yuuya found DORUgamon and Plotmon (X-Antibody) being attacked by a Chaosmon and a Rosemon (X-Antibody). Plotmon was glad DORUgamon seemed very motivated, which it was as well. Yuuya wanted to watch over them but give them items for some entertainment. During this fight, Taiga controls Plotmon (X-Antibody) while Yuuya controls DORUgamon. While they win the battle, they're left exhausted.

A Chaosmon without a Tamer can be fought in the Colosseum 40th floor Free Battle: "I am Chaosmon". It knows Taiga as a strong Tamer and wonders if he'll be a good rival. Winning this awards Taiga a Chaotic Soul. A Chaosmon and a Chaosdramon, both without Tamers, can be fought in the Colosseum 30th floor Free Battle: "Controller of Chaos". They wanted to fill the world with chaos and eliminate anyone who'd get in their way. They retreat in fear after being defeated. This awards Taiga a Chaosmon and a Chaosdramon card.

Chaosmon is an obtainable Digimon. It can be formed by Jogress Evolving Darkdramon and Bancho Leomon.
