Twin Link System

Twin Link System (「ツインリンク」システム, "Tsuin Rinku" Shisutemu) is a communication system built into the Digimon Twin. It allows Digimon raised on paired devices to communicate and perform an advanced form of Data Link.

Function

The Twin Link System uses the Digimon Twin's infrared ports to transmit a Digimon's Digicore code to another device. The Digimon Twin was released in two models, Model-L (Liberation) and Model-R (Revolution). A pair consisting of one L and one R could perform an advanced Data Link without the usual “Link Security.”

Effects

By bypassing Link Security, the Twin Link System could create Digitama that would not normally occur in the Digital World. The system also decoded an evolution encrypted deep within a Digimon's DigiCore, making it possible for Digimon to evolve into variants of War Greymon and Metal Garurumon. These variants are Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon.
