Digimon Series Memorial Book[edit]

This isn't the whole thing, but putting it here for future use:

全身の目玉や両腕の口からエネルギーを放つ「ガイストアーベント」、2本の妖刀「ブルートエボルツィオン」で満月のような弧を描き斬りつける「エアオーベルング」など、必殺技も極めて破壊的である。輝二の名前に反応し、その記憶を執拗に求めるが……。

With techniques like "Geist Abend", which emits energy from the eyes all over his body and the mouths on his arms (Geist Abend), and "Eroberung)", which slashes in a full moon-like arc with his two demonic "Blut Evolution" swords, his Special Moves are extremely devastating. He responds to Kouji's name, and relentlessly pursues that memory...

Manga[edit]

Shadow meant the Manhuwa, I'd imagine. https://wikimon.net/index.php?title=Duskmon&action=history Muur (talk) 23:14, 17 February 2019 (CST)

In that case, I'd be very interested in hearing where that text came from, considering the manhua isn't in Japanese. --User:TMS (talk 15:13, 18 February 2019 (EST)

Reverse Slide Evolution?[edit]

Where does that term come from, and what does it mean? --TMS (talk) 23:10, 9 April 2019 (EST)

The term isnt listed on the dub wiki, so it seems like its a fan made term to mean beast to human? idk why it needs "reverse" when normal slide is a thing. it could be from somewhere but seems unlikely.Muur (talk) 10:06, 22 April 2019 (CDT)
Yeah, since no one's explained it, there probably is no legitimate explanation. Please go ahead and get rid of it wherever you find it. --TMS ([[User talk:TMS|talk])) 12:50, 22 April 2019 (EST)
I'll do it at some point if I remember lol. I figure theyre just on the human and beast forms.Muur (talk) 20:00, 23 April 2019 (CDT)
Reverse Slide Evolution is just a made-up way to indicate that the evolutions between Human and Beast Spirits happen back and forth as you can tell by the way it is depicted in the anime, in the sense that the Beast Spirits are more powerful level-wise (see Grottomon >>> Gigasmon & Gigasmon <<< Grottomon during the first episodes as a one example of this), so practically it's more like a de-evolution or a revocation of the Slide Evolution per se than a switch between Digimon of the same level (such as Monzaemon/WaruMonzaemon, ToyAgumon/BlackToyAgumon, Cherubimon (Virtue)/Cherubimon (Vice)). This type of evolution only happens in Digimon Frontier as I'm aware. If the nomenclature is confusing or unappropiate I'm not against changing it, while there are other examples like the Ultimate Evolutions of Tamers & Savers that are called "Warp Shinkas" for the sake of consistency and I guess it's fine either way. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 09:07, 24 April 2019 (CDT)
