Dub Attack Names[edit]
Would anyone be able to tell me where the dub names given for Miaspew and Data of the End come from? According to the DMO Wiki, it looks like they're supposed to be Mias-spew and Data of the End, but I know that the wiki is not necessarily accurate, and also that attack names tend to get dupdated a lot in the localized MMOs. --TMS (talk) 13:15, 9 June 2026 (EDT)

- Thank you! I wonder if the latter part of "Minorspiwou" is just a transliteration of the Korean name. --TMS (talk) 13:54, 9 June 2026 (EDT)
- Probably so. I'm also intrigued by the "Minus Data" thing. I understand it's just another way of referring to negative data, but it still feels like an odd term. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 02:48, 10 June 2026 (CDT)
- I do wonder if it's supposed to be a Digimon-specific concept. Looking it up in my usual online dictionary, I don't see that "mainasu" is generally used in Japanese as a synonym for negative. Thank you, by the way, for adding all these new skills. I once tried to keep up with what all the attacks were called and looked like in Masters (and Battle), but had to break off. --TMS (talk) 18:45, 10 June 2026 (EDT)
- Isn't it? I can think of at least one example outside of Digimon, the Minus Energy of Dragon Ball GT. I don't think this is exclusive to Digimon.--Blaze Dragon (talk) 18:43, 10 June 2026 (CDT)
