Summaries

Hi, I see you've been adding to various pages for Digimon that appeared in Dreamers. I think that instead of posting detailed play-by-plays of a chapter on multiple Digimon's pages, it would be better to update the pages for those chapters. Hey, thanks for adding summaries of Digimon's roles in Digimon Story. Since there were a few changes made to the plot between the original and English versions of the game, you may want to look over this translation of the Japanese script: https://www.mediafire.com/file/h1b0td212vxtr9i/Digimon_Story_Script.docx/file

The translation is rather rough, but it can be helpful. One of the most notable changes I remember was the role that the Evil Ring played in the game (in the Japanese version it's used to control the Four Holy Beasts, whereas in the English version it's used to control humans). As far as character names go, I believe that the ones used in Digimon World DS are more accurately translated than they are in this script (Ellie vs. Arie, Unknown D vs. Annousou D), since the writer seemed to struggle with transliteration of non-Japanese words. --TMS (talk) 14:46, 7 May 2024 (EST)

• Is that genuinely trustworthy though? As you said, the translation there's rough. I'm no fan of the English translations of this franchise (and games especially tend to be rather dodgy) but I'm not sure if we should use a guide of unknown origin (and one seemingly incapable of basic romanization, at that...not like this franchise's sinless in that regard) as an example of the translation done right, either. Note I have no Japanese knowledge nor any Japanese streams to use as reference either though. From what I have checked of Japanese videos, it is accurate so far as general facts go. Obviously, you won't want to quote it directly, but if you look at various scenes (the conversation with the BT Boss in Lava River, etc.) you can see that, however roughly translated it might be in places, the script wasn't just made up. Although, looking into playthroughs of the English version, the discrepancy I mentioned between the two versions (the Evil Ring's role) appears not to exist, so I suppose I was misremembering. I've been adding things as I play the game myself (as I tend to do, my other edits are also from my own immediate experiences) and I didn't screenshot that particular part. However, I looked up a playthrough and found out the part where Pagumon textually says he "Dark-digivolved from BlackAgumon to DarkTyrannomon". d-ark

You sure that’s what happened? That doesn’t really make sense. When Mayu touches a digimon ot turns back into the merch it originally was. So when terriermon touched Mayu, it reverted back into the d-ark toy it originally was (which is why terriermon wasn’t there any more). The ic becoming the d-ark doesn’t really make sense. Also I don’t think the plot info should be on the actual digivice page. He owns the toy after all.Muur (talk) 14:39, 12 December 2024 (CST)

Not sure why you're asking Devie that when I'm the one that wrote those sections. Regardless, you're right that Terriermon became the D-Ark, not the Digivice iC, I misunderstood the events and will fix that. On whether the info should be on the Digivice pages or not, I'd argue that both the iC and the Ark are working Digivices and thus go in the pages for the in-series events of them, while the rest are toys and should be kept in those sections.- -Blaze Dragon (talk) 15:03, 12 December 2024 (CST)

• The wiki already stated that the Gankoomon and Hackmon from Adventure PSP are the same as the Royal Knights from Cyber Sleuth (don't ask me why, I played both games and see no conection whatsoever, but the wiki already decided so). About BB Evolutions

I believe that if we listed individual Digimon Golden Dawn defeated on the Evolution section we will literally have every single Digimon that doesn't belong to a major character on the evolution list which would be kind of redundant and could easily rack up to 60 to 70 Digimon and clog up the pages. Because it seems like defeated Digimon being devolved rather than deleted is the norm.--R13 (talk) 06:06, 21 April 2026 (CDT)

• I get the point but also if we think that way, we have to remove a lot of information from Wikimon, which goes against the very point of a wiki. We should have every detail we can. Appmon profiles

Hello! I noticed that you've been uploading screenshots from the Index data and profiles of the Appmon available on the 3DS game. I'm really happy to see that, because uploading all of them to the wiki is a project I've always had in mind. As you can probably tell, the ones I uploaded aren't nearly as high quality as yours because they come from Japanese blogs from back then. I was wondering — if you're planning to upload more screenshots, would you consider uploading improved versions of the ones already on the wiki as well (for example, Coordemon)? If we eventually manage to get them all onto the wiki, I'm planning to add a special section for them to the game's main article. Thanks for your amazing work! --~~

My idea is to get as much Appmon 3DS info on the wiki as possible, especially on attacks since Appmon profiles are, to put it bluntly, terrible. I didn't realize the existing index images were of low quality, but sure, it's no problem, I'll improve those too.
