Dark Area (Iliad)

The Dark Area (ダークエリア, Dāku Eria), is an area in Digital World: Iliad. Each Digital World has its own Dark Area and every Dark Area is connected to the Cocytus.

This Dark Area is governed by Plutomon, a Digimon that wanders the Digital World pursuing criminals or villains who deserve to fall into the realm of the dead. It sometimes takes the form of Cerberumon: Werewolf Mode, a mutation of Cerberumon who resides in the Dark Area and is known as the "Watchdog of Hell". It feared that the data born from "human malice", overflowing on the Internet as text and images, could have an impact on the Digital World, so it mutated into this form in order to prevent an influx of that data.
