n., From ambrosia (ἀμβροσία), meaning "immortality." In ancient Greek myths, ambrosia is the divine food of the gods. Ancient art sometimes depict ambrosia being distributed by a nymph bearing the same name Ambrosia, a nurse of Dionysus.

| Ambromon is one of the Digimon designed for Digital World: Iliad (specifically for the Digimon Pendulum COLOR 8 Celestial Walker). Ambromon's namesake is ambrosia, the divine food of the Gods of Greek myths. Rather than using another snake Digimon as the Perfect stage for Bacchusmon, Nakano Haito came up with a unique silhouette for this Digimon to differentiate it from others. The distinctive staff of Ambromon also incorporates elements of the "Maenads", followers of Bacchus in myth, the God of Wine and namesake of Bacchusmon. Vipmon is an another Digimon designed by Haito to connect with Bacchusmon for the same virtual pet. Vipmon (an Adult stage) combines the motifs of snakes and fruit, Ambromon is designed with only the fruit motif, while Snakemon is a Child Digimon that uses just a snake motif.[1]
