An evil god Digimon called the "Sinful Priest of the Ocean Floor". It is thought to have evolved from a computer virus that would infect the computers aboard ships and the like, then knock their direction and course out of order. It bundles up its innumerable, multiplying tentacles and takes on a humanoid appearance, but its natural shape is a strange evolution of a Mollusk Digimon. Its Special Move is throwing its trident, with tremendous physical strength (Forbidden Trident). For its defeated opponents, it holds the rosary around its neck, and adopts a pose similar to mourning.

Digimon Ghost Game[edit]

In "The Call", Dagomon manipulated several humans by trapping them in a fog and brainwashing them through a chant, starting with those in a ship. It then added other humans including Nomura Kotaro and Fukatsu Riku, as well as attempting to brainwash Amanokawa Hiro, Gammamon, Higashimitarai Kiyoshiro, and Jellymon, though they were protected by the Digivice-VV-'s pseudo-Digital World, which created a barrier around them instead of fully deploying due to the chant's energy.

Later on, Dagomon made the humans it brainwashed return to it, recalling the fog as well. When they reached the ocean, they turned into "gill-men." In order to stop Dagomon, Canoweissmon, Thetismon, and Lamortmon attempted to fight it, but what they thought was Dagomon was only an illusion created by the fog that returned their attacks and made them think they were being attacked by tentacles that sprouted from their wounds. Hover Espimon broke Canoweissmon free from the illusion by feeding him sour candy, allowing Canoweissmon to remove the fog with a Gran Nova. Afterwards, the real Dagomon rose from the sea before turning black. Thetismon and Lamortmon timed out and returned to their Child forms, while Canoweissmon evolved into Siriusmon to fight it, but was overpowered despite the level advantage. Dagomon was then absorbed into a portal to the Digital World created by the newly-arrived Black Tailmon Uver.

Manga[edit]

Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01 ~New Courage~[edit]

Several Dagomon appeared from the polyhedron alongside many other Virus Digimon. One of them flew by Adventure:'s Yagami Taichi and Agumon, alongside a Gigadramon, but both were then destroyed in one V-Breath Arrow by Zeromaru as Aero V-dramon.

Digimon Dreamers[edit]

Dagomon rose from the Memory Ocean in "Wizarmon of Memory Ocean" after having felt Wizarmon's tremendous magical power.

Afterwards, in "The Pulse of Resurrection", Pulsemon was surprised at the huge octopus, who introduced themselves as Dagomon and clarified they were no octopus. Having sensed Wizarmon's magical powers from the depths of the ocean, they decided to take them, though Wizarmon managed to avoid their tentacle strike. Pulsemon pointed out it couldn't deny it was an octopus if they slung around their tentacles, and Dagomon calmly answered they had no quarry with him, they just wanted Wizarmon's powers, as they had stolen magical power from a great number of Digimon in the past but his was unique and it'd take them one step closer to being the ruler of the seas. Wizarmon was surprised that such an incredible power was dormant inside him and tried to remember how to use it, only for a headache to come and a bouquet of flowers to erupt from his head. Dagomon was confused about that and Pulsemon explained that Wizarmon had amnesia, which Dagomon was happy about as it meant they could take his powers with little resistance. Kodou Ritsu and Pulsemon refused to let them, causing Pulsemon's head to evolve. This made Dagomon think that Pulsemon and Wizarmon were the octopi due to their big heads, which struck them as hypocritical. Pulsemon was angry at being underestimated and used Bulkmon's Thunder Dread on Dagomon, but they were unharmed, and said that a half-baked evolution was no match for a Perfect. They then countered with Thousand Whip, taking Pal down. Dagomon prayed for their defeated opponent, telling him to regret his defiance against them, then attacked Wizarmon. Pal got up again and bit Dagomon's tentacle, which did nothing but anger Dagomon who tied him down then threw him against a rock.

After recovering his memories and with newfound resolve, Wizarmon thanked Ritsu and Pulsemon, and told Dagomon he would not fall as he had friends waiting for him too so he had to return to Witchelny, confirming he had recovered his memories. Wizarmon's hat once again opened, which made Dagomon think another octopus-like object would come out of Wizarmon's head, but instead what came out was Wizarmon's staff.

Continuing from that, in "Thunder Cloud", Pulsemon threatened Dagomon, once again calling him an octopus, which just got him thrown away. Dagomon then switched his focus to Wizarmon, unafraid of him getting his power and memories back, but Wizarmon told him that his power was too much for them to handle. Dagomon then summoned their Forbidden Trident and tried to stab Wizarmon with it while warning him not to underestimate a Perfect Digimon. However, the attack was blocked by a magic circle Wizarmon used as a shield, which he claimed was his own original skill. Pulsemon made up a name for it but Wizarmon rejected it. Dagomon thought of Wizarmon's tremendous potential and wondered if he had it because he came from a different dimension, while Ritsu realized that Wizarmon wasn't an average Digimon if he could make a Perfect Digimon like Dagomon recoil in fear. Pulsemon confidently tried to take over the fight, though the same situation as before repeated itself. Dagomon tried to crush Wizarmon with their tentacles, but they were blocked by Wizarmon's shields. They then used their leg tentacles as well, which got Ritsu to tell Wizarmon to run away, but he merely sliced them all by using his magical circle shield as a blade. Wizarmon then told Dagomon they were unfit to steal his power after all and surrounded them with clouds which then released Wizarmon's Thunder Cloud. Dagomon was then defeated and went back underwater.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker's Memory[edit]

Dagomon is #173 and is a Water Virus Type, Perfect level Digimon and uses 12 memory. It evolves from Ice Devimon, Coelamon and Raremon and can evolve to Neptunemon, EBEmon and Leviamon. Its special attack is Forbidden Trident and its support skill is Deep Sea Slumber, which gives all attacks a 10% chance of putting a Digimon to sleep.

Douguchi Lily hires Amazawa Keisuke to help her deal with a "ghost" that she and her friends in the Inoden Occult Research Club (and also Aiba Takumi/Aiba Ami and Kuremi Kyoko) accidentally summoned from another realm, which is supposedly the ghost of a girl who killed herself by jumping in front of a truck. Lily claims to be a spirit medium, meaning she has the ability to send the ghost back to where it came from, but doesn't want any of her friends to know. They track down the ghost in Shibuya, though suddenly countless copies of her appear. After chasing down multiple of them, they find the original one, which reveals itself to be a Dagomon in disguise and alongside Lily's Kyubimon, which was originally her "familiar", which her shocked to see it now being a Digimon, defeat the Dagomon. It escapes into the Shibuya underground however and has to be chased again, with more impostors on the way. They find the real one again and after Kyubimon evolves into Taomon they defeat the Dagomon once again and send it back to where it came from.

Dagomon is also available as a Digimon Medal.
