He thought he was betrayed by his Tamer, he began to hate humans and turned back into DigiTama after the fight. He then evolved to Agumon Black, later Dark Tyranomon, and fought against the player twice at Training Mountain. When he reappeared at Chrome Mine to help player and the researcher Phil, he died quickly and returned to DigiTama after the battle against Mugendramon.

Losing his memories, he then reappeared as a troublesome Pagumon the player was charged with raising upon becoming a Silver Rank Tamer. On a journey to Bug Bug Jungle, he accidentally ate a poisonous flower, and after the player gave him a cure, Pagumon opened his heart and became a friend with the player. He regained his memory after hearing the story from Jijimon and Babamon from Old Canyon, and decided to turn back into Andiramon by obtaining the Data Core at Chrome Mine. It was also revealed that he was formerly the Bad Tamer Tomomi's Digimon, but he saved her from an outraged Gran Kuwagamon and made Tomomi open her heart to good. After obtaining the Data Core Fragment from Tomomi as a gratitude for saving her life, Pagumon successfully evolved into Andiramon, becoming a heroic Digimon once again. He also decided to become the player's Digimon after defeating Chimeramon at Junk Factory.

Digimon Adventure[edit]

A bunch of Pagumon appeared in Episode 20, "Etemon! The Stage Mounting of Evil", as the only apparent inhabitants of the Koromon Village. They refused to acknowledge it as such, however, saying it was the Pagumon Village instead, only Pagumon lived in it, and they had never seen a Koromon in their lives. One of them called Yagami Taichi an insect, which made Agumon point out that the Pagumon were nasty Digimon, although it quickly brushed it off as a joke, while another was surprised at Taichi since it had never seen a Digimon like him before and didn't understand he was a human, and yet another tried to brush off Taichi's attempts at conversation by switching the focus to its own cuteness.

Despite this, Agumon still could sense the smell of Koromon, and said smell was recent at that. Despite their suspicions, the Chosen Children decided to stay the night, as the Pagumon had prepared a feast for them. After the feast, Poyomon evolved into Tokomon. Afterwards, the Chosen Children went to sleep. However, as they slept, the Pagumon kidnapped Tokomon, blaming the kidnapping on him for evolving. This made Tokomon realize they were bad Digimon, which the Pagumon gleefully acknowledged, calling him stupid for believing in their ruse. Two Gazimon then appeared, to whom the Pagumon explained that Tokomon came with a group of human children, which made the Gazimon realize they were the Chosen Children. One of the Gazimon left to warn Etemon about them, while the other one ordered the Pagumon to keep an eye on the humans, then took Tokomon with him.

After the Chosen Children woke up, they found out that Tokomon was no longer with them and decided to search for him. To do so, they questioned the Pagumon, though none of them gave them useful answers. Afterwards, the Chosen Children realized that Agumon wasn't with them either, and Takenouchi Sora saw smoke coming from a waterfall, which they decided to investigate.

After the Chosen Children defeated the Gazimon trio, all the Pagumon ran away, dropping the key of the jail the Koromon were trapped in and allowing them to free themselves.

Pagumon appear as random enemies from Episode 21, "Dark Evolution! Skull Greymon" onwards. They can deal damage and Poison to one party Digimon with Doku no Awa.
