Digimon Adventure:[edit]

After Abbadomon Core awakened in "The Last Miracle, the Last Power" due to its shell, Negamon, being destroyed, the sphere of darkness that surrounded it became Abbadomon. It then dragged War Greymon, Metal Garurumon, Seraphimon and Ofanimon into its darkness and ate the existences of Takenouchi Sora, Hououmon, Izumi Koshiro, Herakle Kabuterimon, Kido Joe, Vikemon, Tachikawa Mimi and Rosemon, while sending even more tentacles into the Real World. The remaining Digimon tried to fight Abbadomon, but it was in vain as no attacks would even make contact with it. However, the Chosen Children got a second wind thanks to the lights of hope of the Real World, which the eaten Chosen Children sent to the Holy Digimon, who gathered them and sent them to Yagami Taichi and Ishida Yamato, allowing War Greymon and Metal Garurumon to fuse into Omegamon for the third time. Omegamon, who Ofanimon described as "the ultimate miracle, the Holy Knight", was able to easily break into Abbadomon's orb without even needing to use a special technique, then flew inside before it could heal.

As Omegamon fought Abbadomon Core, Seraphimon and Ofanimon fought Abbadomon in "The End of the Adventure". Seraphimon destroyed a clump of tentacles that attacked him with his Seven Heavens, and then Ofanimon saved him from a tentacle that wanted to attack him from behind with her Eden's Javelin. Afterwards, they were joined by the other four Chosen Children and their Partner Digimon. At this point, Mimi noticed that Abbadomon was moving weirdly, which led Koshiro to realize that Abbadomon's control over its body was lacking since it was concentrating all its resources on the battle inside of it. As such, if they kept Abbadomon's attention, that would slow down Abbadomon Core's movements as well.

After Abbadomon Core grabbed Omegamon's Grey Sword with its torso-mouth, its voices, once again talking about negative emotions and itself as one who consumes all, could be heard from outside Abbadomon as the other Chosen Children and their Partner Digimon kept fighting it. The Chosen Children rejected said negativity, however, and their Crests went into Omegamon, powering him up enough to break him, Taichi and Yamato free from Abbadomon Core's corruption, and allowing him to summon Omegamon Alter-S' arms before fully evolving into said Digimon.

After Omegamon Alter-S destroyed Abbadomon Core, Abbadomon lost its power, with its red lines vanishing. Abbadomon Core's voice, saying how it would now vanish, could be heard from outside Abbadomon. With Abbadomon Core turning back into a Digitama, so did Abbadomon.

References Notes
  1. Abbadomon debuted in the Digivice: virtual pet that released in November 2020, however in said virtual pet it was named "???". Its name remained unknown until the TV guide listings on September 9, 2021, which finally revealed its name as "Abbadomon". In the same TV guide listings the name "Kuzurumon" (クズルーモン) was used during its plot synopsis for Digimon Adventure:: "The Last Miracle, the Final Power", which referred to either this Digimon (which would make it a scrapped name for Abbadomon) or Negamon (Evolved Form)). The TV listing's plot synopsis was later updated, changing the name to Abbadomon making the former more likely.[2]
  2. Gala-lightness is a combination of the Greek word gala (γάλα), meaning "milk"; i.e. milk-white, and lightness.
