Talk:Gabumon -Yujo no Kizuna-

Attack Name[edit]

So... we need to figure out what "Red Luster" is actually called. The katakana is completely wrong for that. --TMS (talk) 00:01, 24 February 2020 (EST)

Redl Star is possible. you can see some discussion here: https://digimon.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Gabumon_Bond_of_Friendship Muur (talk) 23:53, 23 February 2020 (CST)

Species name[edit]

So, are you guys making an exception from DRB naming, then?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 08:02, 6 March 2020 (CST)

We are if I have a say in it. Otherwise you end up with Agumon Snow’s Bond, etc. —TMS
I always said Snow/YukiAgumon needed a Mega.Muur (talk) 19:03, 6 March 2020 (CST)
Except as someone on WtW pointed out, "Yuki" in this case is 勇気 meaning "Courage" making it Agumon Courage’s Bond whereas the character for snow is 雪 which looks nothing like 勇気. Chimera-gui (talk) 20:05, 6 March 2020 (CST)
It should be Yuuki or Yūki, not Yuki. I've always thought that the policy of blindly following the reference book spellings was an undesirable one, and there are plenty of exceptions to it already. —TMS (talk) 21:18, 6 March 2020 (EST)
If only Ogremon was one.Muur (talk) 21:28, 6 March 2020 (CST)
Well, folks, apparently I don’t have a say in it. lol —TMS (talk) 05:56,12 March 2020 (EST)
To be fair, I don't think the DRB has ever used special characters like ū or uu for its romanization, it's always been done in the simplest, more basic text format since most people don't use special characters for searching.
The only instance of using special characters for searching I can think is Pokémon and then most just format the name as Pokemon. Chimera-gui (talk) 13:40, 14 March 2020 (CDT)
