- In the Frontier movie, the Ancients are referred to as the Guardian Deities of the Island, or something along those lines. At first, however, the inhabitants believe that role belongs to Ornismon, due to the false myth being perpetuated by Murmukusmon. Considering that AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon were the ones who protected the Island both in the past and in the present, I think it's safe to assume that the title refers to both of them, which also seems to be supported by the card illustrations and the card text itself.
- What I don't think is accurate is assigning the title exclusively to AncientGreymon, when it actually appears to refer to both of them. What do you think? --Shadow Shinji (talk) 10:10, 14 August 2026 (CDT)
- My preference would be not to list it for either of them, since it's a collective title. We wouldn't say "Legendary Warrior" is a title for every single Hybrid Digimon. While we're on the subject, I've been making some changes to the titles that pages list and wanted to give the reasoning behind it. My basic premise for titles is that they should be indicated either by quotation marks or being part of an actual title. Thus I removed one of the titles previously listed for Susanoomon since it was only derived from standard card flavor text. I also removed some of the titles added to the Adventure Chosen Children's partner Digimon that cited Option cards in the DCG, since in some cases the card's title was clearly describing an event and not a Digimon (we wouldn't say "From within the Forest" is a title for Maicoomon, etc.). --TMS (talk) 16:59, 14 August 2026 (EDT)
