This collaboration design by Watanabe Kenji is a version of Greymon that has been infected by "G-Cells", the mutagenic cells of Godzilla. As such, this is a Greymon that has partially transformed into Godzilla, with the black skin of Godzilla occupying part of this Digimon's body.
In the Digital Monster COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition, Greymon’s sprite shows that its right side has become infected by "G-Cells". As the Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition acts as a follow-up to the Digital Monster COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition, Greymon: "G" Erosion Mode can be considered a follow-up to Greymon’s appearance on the aforementioned device.
