Year Active 2020 Aequcedramon is one of five Digimon created as a reward for making a minimum pledge of ¥300,000 to the Digimon Adventure 20th Anniversary Memorial Story Project crowdfunding campaign on Campfire. An individual who goes by the online handle of "Shō" 「しょう」 was one of the backers of the ¥300,000 tier, and Aequcedramon was designed as their partner Digimon by Digimon designer Watanabe Kenji based on their input and wishes. As part of the reward, Bandai later sent Shō model sheets and finalized key art of Aequcedramon by Watanabe (which they recieved on 25 December 2020), as well as a one-of-a-kind plush doll of Aequcedramon (which they received on January 22, 2021). Shō has stated that they think of Aequcedramon as potentially being either Child or Adult level. Bandai has issued no material that ascribes an Evolution Stage to Aequcedramon, so Shō's statements are not to be taken as canon. To date, Aequcedramon has never appeared in any official Digimon media.
