A form that Guardromon defending Chrondigizoit mines transformed into in order to withstand repeated, relentless raids by illegal miners. Guardromon's armor is said to be the result of it taking in the Chrondigizoit dust data floating in the air. Its armor is more durable than that of a normal Guardromon, and its Special Move "Destruction Grenade" has also succeeded in slightly raising its output. But in exchange, its armor became heavier, causing its movements to be sluggish overall.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan, Misono Inori and Aegiomon met a Guardromon (Gold) after arriving to the Factorial Area in "Incoming Conflict". Guardromon (Gold) was worried they might be intruders but relaxed after the Agent told them they were sent by Mercurymon, who couldn't go personally as Central Town was also being attacked by the Titans. Due to the situation, Guardromon (Gold) told the group to go talk to their leader, Vulcanusmon, to fix the power, though that'd involve going through the Titans as comms were out. To do so, Guardromon (Gold) explained they first needed to talk to Kokuwamon and pointed them in the right direction to do so, while they worked on repairing Blimpmon.

After the timeskip, Guardromon (Gold) took over Vulcanusmon's duties in the workshop, including crafting items for the Agent.

Guardromon (Gold) is also an obtainable Digimon. It evolves from Shoutmon, Zubamon, or Solarmon. It can evolve into Duramon, Cannonbeemon, or Master Blimpmon.
