Possessing remarkable information gathering and analytical capabilities, it is rumored to be a Digimon that was originally born from software used for intelligence gathering, analysis, and parsing by intelligence agencies. It is able to flap its wings almost soundlessly, allowing it to gather and analyze information without its target noticing. However, since Chiropmon bases its actions on things it has an interest in, the information it gathers is often no more valuable than a broad range of trivia. It has the ability to emit ultrasonic waves from its mouth, and uses both its "Paralyze Echo", which is capable of paralyzing the target, and its "Analyze Echo", in which it uses ultrasonic echolocation to grasp what is going on in its surroundings. Chiropmon's eyes have a feature known as "Curious Eyes", which enables it to "see" electromagnetic wavelengths up to ultraviolet and infrared, in addition to visible light, allowing it to obtain information that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Chiropmon has virtually no fighting spirit and is not a Digimon that would attack on its own, but when battle is unavoidable, it will use its attack technique "Condensed Echo", in which it compresses ultrasonic waves to their utmost limit and then emits them from its mouth.
