Mark of Evil

The Mark of Evil (悪のマーク Aku no Māku) is a mark in the form of a stylized bat's silhouette. It is found on the body of a number of Digimon that possess dark powers. As the mark's name implies, they are commonly portrayed as evil Digimon that are cruel and merciless and do anything to achieve their desires. However, that is not always the case. A relation to the Dark Area is common as well. While the Mark of Evil comes in different sizes and shapes, it is usually red. The mark on Devimon's chest is said to be proof that it fell to the Dark Area after previously being an Angemon-species Digimon.[1]
