Happy Fall/Autumn everyone. Hope your October is going well! Registration has been turned back on. Everyone is free to make their own accounts now. Hopefully our friends the spam bots will stay away. Well that was a failed attempt. Registration has been locked back down and info on how to get an account has been added back to the site. Sigh... I'm sure most people noticed the 12 hour downtime earlier today. The reasoning is simple: the server hadn't been paid for. I'm broke - what can I say? We've worked something out, but going forward I put an ugly donation button up there. Over 5,000 people visit this site on a daily basis, and even if one person were to donate $5 a day, that would pay for the server in no time, or even allow us to get a more powerful machine. More detailed reasoning can be seen on the Support Wikimon page. The new skin is still under way. dkpat has been testing out ideas :) Hopefully we'll have a brand new look for Christmas this year. Good morning! Just some quick updates: The change in registration has been going well; our spam has vanished. I apologize to those that have to wait to get a new account, but it's a necessary measure. Perhaps during this summer I can look into more anti-spam measures and open up registration, but for now, this will have to work. If you're interested in registering for an account, the procedure is on Wikimon:Register We've upgraded MediaWiki to the most recent version. This happened just last night, and there is a spot on the Community Portal to note if there are any problems. And, of course, like normal, you're welcome to e-mail me with issues. [email protected] I have a friend that is working on designing a new skin for Wikimon. I am fully aware of how bad load times can be with the background. It's been on my to-do list for ages... If you didn't hear, Digimonx joined the administration team. It now consists of Grandy02, Devkyu, Digimonx and myself. Feel free to contact any of us with questions. A quick reminder that card images from WtW's Card Terminal are not allowed to be used here. It's a shame, but that's what they want. If you're unsure if the image you have came from Card Terminal, please contact Devkyu for confirmation. Just a note... check out the Support Wikimon page. The server costs me $75 a month, and truth be told, Wikimon is one of the one things that uses it. We get upwards of 5,000 unique visitors a day, and so any assistance would be thanked.
