Digimon Masters[edit]
Digimon Masters is more canon than fan art. Chimera-gui (talk) 20:29, 17 October 2017 (CDT)
- Perhaps, but in terms of actual shape, the symbols in the fanart are more accurately consistent with the symbols that appear in Frontier than the symbols in Masters are.--Sleipmon4 (talk) 10:32, 18 October 2017 (CDT)
- I agree. Most of them don't fit either in color and/or shape:

- By the way, I've just noticed that the Spirit of Darkness it's not even the same in either of the depictions. Why could be the reason of this? Darkness is written as "闇", so no idea what the other kana stands for. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 11:58, 18 October 2017 (CDT)
- The one in the screenshot above is a mistake. The way it's written makes it look like they were trying to write 金 --Garmmon (talk) 13:11, 18 October 2017 (CDT)
- 金 like gold/money? That's hilarious lol Do you know if there's any Digimon or item that has the Spirit of Darkness' symbol into its body, just to check out if they do the same error there too? --Shadow Shinji (talk) 13:32, 18 October 2017 (CDT)
- Bare in mind that Masters was released several years after Frontier ended so the symbols may have updated at some point during the intermediate, most notably the symbol for Ice has been altered so as to not be mixed up with the symbol of Water while the symbol for Darkness was presumably changed to fix the error that was pointed out.
And to answer Shinji's question, I didn't sseein any of the designs for the Warriors of Darkness. Chimera-gui (talk) 14:45, 18 October 2017 (CDT)- Updating them in order to make them less distinguishable and mess up the color scheme? I don't think so. DMO is well-known for being a lazy adaptation of Digimon, that's why I'm personally wary of almost everything that comes from this game. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 16:21, 18 October 2017 (CDT)
- The error is probably a one-time thing. (that said I'm not gonna go through and check for every instance of it) They're normal in the eyecatch (https://imgur.com/aqfjIYr.jpg) and opening (https://imgur.com/S1jq5sI.jpg) --Garmmon (talk) 11:03, 19 October 2017 (CDT)
- Well if that's the case, then it's clear it's just an error as you say. I was just wondering if the other kana (金) was meant to have any other significance in the anime. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 11:30, 19 October 2017 (CDT)
