Darkness Mode[edit]
Any reason why the "Darkness Mode" takes precedence over "(True Form)"? Since there is only one source naming this form as "Darkness Mode" (Digimon Life), with the others (Collectors, Reference Book) calling it the "true form", shouldn't we name the page after the most used term? Adventure: seems to treat it as the regular Splashmon so the "true form" is implied there, and Xros Wars doesn't even call him anything, even though all the other Darkness Modes are clearly stated. - I mean the anime, where it debuted, called it "Darkness Mode" as well. "Splashmon (True Form)" would be making a name up. It's referred to as "True Form" yes, but it doesnt say "Splashmon (True Form)" as its actual name.Muur (talk) 16:58, 27 October 2020 (CDT)
- Did it? I checked the episode and there was no name mentioned. He simply Force DigiXrossed into his giant form and then undid the zippers, turning into his true form. "Splashmon (True)" is used on Digimon Collectors, not "(True Form)", sorry for that. ShikaSS (talk) 19:34, 27 October 2020 (CDT)
- Sorry for bothering about this again, but can you show me where it was called "Darkness Mode" in the anime? ShikaSS (talk) 11:52, 9 November 2020 (CST)
- I'm assuming it's just for uniformity from the other General's Darkness Mode's then. Would be silly to have all but one with Darkness Mode.Muur (talk) 03:42, 10 November 2020 (CST)
- The point is the anime does not call it "Darkness Mode". At least that I've seen. Unless the name was used somewhere else other than the anime and the website. That's why I'm asking for the source of that claim. As I understand it, this page was created because of Digimon Life, not Xros Wars (check the regular Splashmon discussion tab), hence me starting this discussion. - I believe Bandai Asia listed Splashmon and Darkness Mode as separate profiles which I wanna say use separate artwork. Chimera-gui (talk) 12:14, 10 November 2020 (CST)
- Not exactly. The "Darkness Mode" artwork features just the tiger form while Splashmon has both forms (the same picture that's currently on the DRB). ShikaSS (talk) 13:21, 10 November 2020 (CST)
- Fair enough, that is likely where the name Splashmon Darkness Mode came from. Chimera-gui (talk) 14:43, 10 November 2020 (CST)
