Talk:Scorpmon

From Wikimon

The name, why is it Scorpmon instead of Scopemon? (One of the cards is still called Scopemon btw.) If someone has a legimate source for it, then it would be great if it could be added. Otherwise the kana sound like 'Scopemon'. --J3rry1ce 23:16, 06 June 2017 (CEST)

Scorpmon is the official romanization in Appli Monsters: Scorpmon's App Search profile Chimera-gui (talk) 15:55, 6 June 2017 (CDT)
Plus, the prefixes used by Bandai on the 3DS site; the vast majority of which have been used in Appli Monsters. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 16:16, 6 June 2017 (CDT)
Thank you for clearing it up swiftly, you two. --J3rry1ce 19:47, 07 June 2017 (CEST)
surely this can fall under picklemon?Muur (talk) 15:37, 13 July 2024 (CDT)
It's a different situation, the kana here could easily be "scorp" instead of "scope" (it's clearly not meant to be but Bandai), while there's no way the kana in Piccolomon could ever be Picklemon. It's closer to using Blucomon over the official Bulucomon (which I'm against since no source has used Blucomon). Blaze Dragon (talk) 19:25, 13 July 2024 (GMT-3)
I get the sentiment, it’s why I object to the Piccolo Protocol to begin with very few names used here under it have actually been used by official media however Blucomon is in fact one of the exceptions as we actually have a source for it: It’s the official romanization given by the Digital Monster Art Book Ver.Pendulum: https://gallery.withthewill.net/albums/userpics/10002/pendulum_artbook_177_20th.jpg Chimera-gui (talk) 19:49, 13 July 2024 (CDT)
