Talk:Mansion Giant

From Wikimon

I'm fine with this having a page, but it isn't a Digimon. It's only called "Housemon" in the English localization of the Adventure manhua. In the original it is called 公館巨人, literally "Official Residence Giant." It is dependent on Pinocchimon for its existence, and is not a separate Digimon. It is activated through Pinocchimon's Kyodai Mokujin attack, although the only source on that name is the fansite V-Tamer Residence. Digimon Masters' English version calls the attack "Big Dutch Doll." --TMS (talk) 19:29, 29 October 2017 (EST)

So it's more like a Digital Lifeform is that? Where is it called as "Official Residence Giant" by the way? Maybe the attack is sourced in the novels of Adventure, just guessing. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 18:44, 29 October 2017 (CDT)
It seems to be an automaton. Strangely enough, I ordered that manhua recently, among others, and they arrived a few days ago. It was only last night that with the help of some people on the With the Will Discord I figured out what the thing was called in the manhua. Here's a photo I took of the page: https://imgur.com/a/cFGBZ --TMS (talk) 20:02, 29 October 2017 (EST)
Sorry to butt in, but just fyi 公館 in Chinese can refer to simply 'mansion'. --Garmmon (talk) 07:04, 30 October 2017 (CDT)
So the accurate translation would be "Giant Mansion"? --Shadow Shinji (talk) 10:34, 30 October 2017 (CDT)
Mansion Giant. 巨人 refers to the 'creature' giant/titan, 'Mansion' is modifying 'Giant'. --Garmmon (talk) 11:21, 30 October 2017 (CDT)
