In fiction[edit]
For cross-referencing the sections on this wiki (see Digital Monster), what are all the series that depict Digimon as something thought to be fictional merchandise that turns out to be real?
Off the top of my head:
- Merch
- Tamers: Shows DMCG, stated through director notes to have first two anime, Lee had a Digimon game (not sure what it was)
- Appmon: Had a Digimon Universe game that appeared to be based on Adventure (so like a phone app version of Adventure PSP)
- C'mon Digimon: Had Digital Monster v-pet
- V-Tamer 01: Had Digital Monster v-pet, was the Pendulum also a canon product or a non-merch tool?
- Chronicle: This is set in the general "null canon" where all the v-pets were both merch and real tools, right?
- Next: iC is merch, there's some kind of "Net Battle" merch game
- Liberator: Explicitly had Digital Monster Ver. 1 v-pet (via Ryutaro's recollections and REAL chapter), explicitly had anime, manga and video games that are strongly implied to be Adventure, V-Tamer 01, and Digimon World. Obviously has 2020 card game and the fictional Liberator and Cross Connectia video games. Via cameo, Seekers and Tamers are weakly either merch or crossovers. Appmon *explicitly* not merchandised.
- Rikollection: basically everything
- Story Sunburst/Moonlight: Burst is non-merch tool (IIRC most of the Story games do similar)
- Non-merch (basically same as Digivice, only including here since the products are branched-evolution v-pets)
- D-Cyber: D-Cyber Digivice is non merch tool
- Savers: iC and Burst are non-merch tools
- Ghost Game: Vital Bracelets are non-merch tools
- Next: Twin is a non-merch tool
- Seekers: Digimon Dock (based on existing v-pets) is a non-merch tool, but Digimon are thought to merely be hacker programs
I'm not sure about most of the video games. Can y'all help me finish off this list or correct anything I got wrong?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 17:44, 23 June 2025 (CDT)
