Talk:Karatenmon

From Wikimon

I cannot decipher what "Irataka" is supposed to mean, and it seems to be an invention of this Digimon. So far, I've got:

  • 伊: Italy; that one
  • 由: wherefore; a reason
  • 太: plump; thick; big around
  • 加: add; addition; increase; join; include; Canada

My best (and incredibly ridiculous) guess is that it means "Italy's reason for thickening Canada". I hate kanji names like this.KrytenKoro06 01:47, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Iyukusaka?[edit]

Where does the "Iyukusaka" reading come from? The DRB gives it the furigana いらたかのけん (I-RA-TA-KA-NO-KE-N) so the reading is Irataka no Ken, not Iyukusaka. The lack of citation makes me think this is either untrue or was just a random mistranslation.--Blaze Dragon (talk) 12:12, 10 July 2025 (CDT)

I'm not really sure what the note is supposed to mean, so I would just get rid of it. If one of the attack's dub names is "Iyukusaka whatever" then fair enough; dub names don't have to make sense. But we need a source for it regardless. --TMS (talk) 19:52, 10 July 2025 (EDT)
