Talk:Chronomon: Destroy Mode (Robot)

From Wikimon

Rename this page[edit]

I realize the (Robot) is here to separate it from the normal Destroy Mode but I genuinely think it's very unfitting. It is never referred to as mechanical in any way in the game proper, it doesn't even have the Machine trait (I'd know, I thought I could exploit it with my Breakdramon!). The in-game model is called ChronomonBoss I believe, so maybe Chronomon: Destroy Mode (Boss) would be a better name. Or just (Time Stranger) since that's the only place it'll ever appear. --Blaze Dragon (talk) 18:26, 25 February 2026 (CST)

it's chronomon merged with a robot. the giant slayer is choronomon robo in the code. so a robot. this is a robot version of chronomon. "Chronomon: Destroy Mode (Boss)" that could also cover the one from the first digimon story, though? this isn't the only chrono dm boss in history. " Or just (Time Stranger) since that's the only place it'll ever appear. "Chronomon: Destroy Mode (TS)" is a character, and would redirect to Chronomon (TS) if it existed. in addition, this probably will appear in teh TCG? none of your suggestions fit because they all refer to *characters*, and the name needs to be for a *species*. the name is fine, because this is a robot.Muur (talk) 00:06, 26 February 2026 (CST)
As you said, it's the Giant Slayer that's ChronomonRobo in the code, not this form. Two entirely different things. "Boss" could cover the one from the first Story, sure, but also that one doesn't have its own page nor does it need to since it's a normal Destroy Mode, and if it did, it'd just be Chronomon (Story) anyways. The actual character from TS is Chronomon (Time Stranger), not Chronomon: Destroy Mode (Time Stranger), an overly long name that would also make little sense since he never takes the normal Destroy Mode as a form in the game (much as it's heavily implied that's his original form). This will never appear in the DCG, don't kid yourself, had they intended to reuse this, it would have its own name. This is a species as much as it is a character because, again, it's only meant to be used once. And no, this isn't considered robot in-game, it doesn't get the Machine trait and no one refers to it as such. --Blaze Dragon (talk) 05:41, 26 February 2026 (CST)
