Translation

Translation for the description in Japanese.

A Beast Man Type Digimon that lives while being loyal only to its own sense of “justice”. It goes that only a fierce veteran who remained victorious and its heart never yielded in battle can attain the title of “Bantyo”, and no more than 5 Digimon were ever confirmed to have held this title in the Digital World’s recorded history. Only serves its own “justice”, and anything that becomes an obstacle to that “justice” will be recognized as “evil” and treated as an enemy to be removed, even if it’s a being such as the Royal Knights or the Three Great Angels. The “GAKU-RAN” coat that drops from his shoulders has defensive properties that nullify 89.9% of an enemy’s physical attack. Special Moves are a spinning attack with its boasted short sword, Otokogi (Shishi Raouzan), and to put his fighting spirit that was polished to the extremes in his fist and shoot it, Flash Bantyo Punch.

Shishiraouzan

The last kanji (Advance) is claimed to be pronounced as "zan", but it is only pronounced as "zen" or "yaya". However, without the bits on the left, it is "Zan", or "Slash". Unless there is good evidence for this to be a pun, I think it's just a typo.

Name

Why is there a T in his name? Wouldn't chi + yo make him Bancho, even if the u is missing to make him Banchou? --Monzo 09:16, 26 November 2011 (CST)

They're following the Digimon Dictionary romanisation, though personally I still call him BanchouLeomon. And 'tyo' is actually also a valid romanisation for 'チョ', it's just that 'cho' is more widely used. --Garmmon 10:42, 26 November 2011 (CST)

Gaku-ran

The characters on the GAKU-RAN are a quote of Siddhārtha Gautama's according to Buddhist belief which read "I alone am honored in heaven and on earth." (天上天下唯我独尊 "Tenjou tenga yuiga dokuson"^?)
