Digimon Online (Digimon World 3)

Digimon Online (デジモン・オンライン Dejimon Onrain) is a virtual online game featured in Digimon World 3: The Door of A New Adventure. Operated by MAGAMI, it allows players to enter a Digital World divided into servers, raise Digimon and battle with them. Players access the game through Matrix Chambers at MAGAMI's Online Centers.

Overview

Players access Digimon Online through Matrix Chambers at MAGAMI's Online Centers. The game takes place in a Digital World divided into five servers, including Asuka Server and Amaterasu Server. Each server contains several sectors with towns, facilities and areas inhabited by Digimon.

Digimon World 3

Digimon Online is the virtual game in which much of the story takes place.

Atsushi, Minori and Takumi visit MAGAMI's Online Center in Kusanagi City to play Digimon Online. Atsushi enters Asuka Server, receives his partner Digimon and begins exploring the game world.

When maintenance is announced, the players inside Digimon Online find that they cannot log out and return to the Real World. MAGAMI is revealed to be a front for the terrorist organization A.o.A., which has taken control of Amaterasu Server and attempts to expand into Asuka Server.

After the A.o.A. is defeated, Digimon Online is reconstructed. Atsushi can then return to Amaterasu Server and challenge its leaders.
