There is a style of swordsmanship that has been passed down since ancient times in the Eastern Digital World. Rooted in vast mountainous regions with steep mountains, this style is known as "Meidou-ryū" and is characterized by sword techniques that contain "rain" in their names. Digimon who have mastered Meidou-ryū after intense training are said to evolve into Murasamemon as proof of menkyo kaiden. There are likely few Digimon that can fully withstand the surging sword techniques it unleashes through its physical strength, with which it freely wields its enormous greatsword, and skill. During battle, it uses three secret techniques depending on the situation. Its "Gō-no-zan: Murashigure" is a bisecting slash attack unleashed from an overhead stance, and the "forceful" blade that cuts through the enemy's defenses, no matter how fortified they are, its "Jū-no-zan: Tsukishigure" is the "flexible" blade that can deflect any attack from a low stance, and its "Tsui-no-zan: Kokuu" is the deadly "final" blade in which it leaps toward the enemy while carrying its sword on its right shoulder, and enhances its sword attack by spinning its body vertically in the air. Legend says that the those defeated by Meidou-ryū sword techniques see visions of thunderous rain in their dying moments.
