User talk:MugenSeiRyuu
Just wondering, how would you translate "gravity wave" in german just to make note at the bottom of Duftmon's page, I've seen "gravitationswelle" written around, but I'm unsure? --Ainz
Digimon RPG & Masters[edit]
Why aren't they considered proper sources? As far as i'm aware, both games are officially licensed, so why not?CountrySinger 14:55, 5 January 2011 (CST)
Bolding mess[edit]
Sorry for messing things up, i was confused because some articles like Lopmon has Turuiemon bolded even if that digimon never appeared in Manga or anime.
btw sorry for the trouble.
Adding info for Ancient Volcamon[edit]
MugenSeiRyuu, I don't know if I'm asking in the right place.
Why is it bad to add info for AncientVolcamon?
According to the future episode spoilers, he's the division general zone of the magma zone.
Please I would like an explanation to this. Thank you.

One question about Digimon Tamers[edit]
Thank you for your reply in de Forum :) In whitch Episode does it happens? --Dragonlady 11:32, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your answer on my Talk Page :)
- : I meant this (happen, Quote from MugenSeiRyuu)^^:
- "2. Neither Takato nor Jenrya are the type for that. Fights like that usually are between the :Goggleboy and the Lone Wolf, who in case of Tamers is Ruki. Ruki at first did not want to help :when Guilmon disappeared, but later joined the search. But no violence was used. So I would say :that this Epi is not what you are looking for."

Profiles[edit]
The official, finalized profiles at the Digimon Dictionary. If you mean the translation itself, I do it on my own using the wwwjdic.KrytenKoro06 16:01, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- I try to use the wwwjdic instead of babelfish, because it loses a lot of grammar with babelfish, which I think is why DMA gets some of the stranger translations that it does.KrytenKoro06 17:20, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Rosemon[edit]
You were right about Sexy, I screwed that up, sorry.
For the Tifaret: I have absolutely no idea what happens in the anime, since I gave up watching it due to how unimaginative it seemed to me (I saw the original, but it's been a long time). But the grammar used in the bio says it fires the "jewel(s) it wears" ("宝玉をまとい"), and since there's only the one that it's actually wearing, it seems that it uses that. The verb is
- 纏う 【まとう】 (v5u) to put on; to wear; to be clad in
And it doesn't seem like that can be stretched to include simply things floating around it - it seems to only be used literally. However, if firing the extras is what she does in the anime, then the bio might be referring to the floating jewels, so I guess it would be okay to change it.KrytenKoro06 22:58, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- I tried watching it with my brother because he wanted to, but watching it in my own language just didn't improve it for me, so I quit around the SaberLeomon fight.KrytenKoro06 03:53, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- Question: The official spelling of the sephirot part is "Tiferet", but the dub of Sunburst Moonlight uses "Tifaret". So, there exists an official romanization, but it's not historically correct. What is you guys' policy on that?KrytenKoro06 20:48, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Gold Numemon[edit]
The page is broken, but I'm not so familiar with the templates you guys use here to fix it myself.KrytenKoro06 00:34, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
About the translation of Mikemon's card description.[edit]
I was seeing Mikemon's card description which in japanese is Hanshokuryoku no tsuyoi nekogata Dejimon!
I know the word Hanshokuryoku means fertility or reproductive (procreative) power but I realized that it wasn't meant to be the full word Hanshokuryoku but instead it was two separed words: Hanshoku which translated is breed and Ryoku which means strenght or power
I removed the japanese characters of the word digimon leaving it like this (繁殖力の強いネコ型) and look how the translation changed to:
The strongest type of cat breed
See how anything fertility related fully desappeared and how I was right about not being Hanshokuryoku but instead Hanshoku Ryoku as separated words? so the real translation would be:
The Strongest Cat Type digimon! or The strongest type of digimon cat breed! or The Strongest Breed of Cat Type Digimon!
which would make sense considering that unlike Gatomon and BlackGatomon, Mikemon also has claws on her feet.
So in japanese would be Hanshoku ryoku no tsuyoi nekogata Dejimon!
Japanese sure is a complex language it can trick us badly when translating, I noticed that comparing some fansubs of digimon with official subs like the ones of Adventure 02 which Funimation and Crunchyroll have official subs licensed by Toei and the translations are so different in some parts.
Also why Bandai would talk about fertility in digimon when they were the ones saying digimon didn't had gender to being with?
Hope here is right to reply to your reply about the genders and the cat digimon.[edit]
First about Gatomon and BlackGatomon they only have claws on her hands, but Mikemon also has claws on her feet.
About the fertility thing, how do you know they can reproduce? Hentai doesn't counts and we know some fans have digimon having families, I'm one of them but really, imagine a little kid walking in with the Mikemon card and asking his or her parents "Mommy what is fertility?"
Remember Digimon merchandise is bought in Japan by little kids too so I doubt the word fertility would fit much on a card game that has nothing to do with it for a card that is a digimon battle card don't you think? o.o
Also you have to admit I have good points too about that it were separated words and not just one single word.
About the official subs and fansubs what I meant to say is how the translations came different on both on some things, for example on the fansub of episode 19 of 02 the subs put TK after the flashback of the battle with Devimon saying "I couldn't do a damn thing, I didn't knew a damn thing" while the subs on funimation site on that part TK was saying that the emperor didn't understand anything and didn't knew anything.
That's what I meant with that japanese is tricky on the translation at times.
Also aren't we users supposed to be able to help to make Wikimon as accurate as posible including correcting translation mistakes, contributting with missing details and such?
Still I already posted an entry on KrytenKoro's discussion page so he can take a look at it.
"Replying to your second reply"
About the claws on their feet sorry then, but since most of Gatomon and BlackGatomon's images didn't showed them some people, me among them thought they only had claws on their hands.
I did saw the X-Evolution movie but I didn't saw Dex-Dorugamon laying eggs, I remember the eggs true but I thought Yggdrasil just have taken data from Dorumon to clone it and make those digimon o.o
But really then why when I removed the kanji for Digimon the translation changed to the strongest type of cat breed? other than that I didn't moved anything it was all like I copied the kanji from here and pasted it on the translator and I checked a japanese english diccionary and it can be separated words "Hanshoku" and "Ryoku"
I did my investigation. That's why I edited it also one of the three cats has to be the strongest one in battle don't you think?
And why my edits are unaccurate? at least I proved it with examples and investigated, you can't say they are unaccurate just because you believe on the fertility thing.
"New reply"
I just saw X-Evolution (thank goodness I made a DVD with it a while ago) and I saw that you say about the laying eggs, though seeing he laid them through his mouth (kinda reminds me of Piccolo on Dragon Ball XD) I don't know if count that as fertility o.o
