Template talk:Screenshot
Addition request: custom filename[edit]
I like the idea of this template and would love to use it more often, but the current setup for the screenshot filename, requiring it to strictly be the page title + number, is too restrictive in practice. At the moment it's fine for anime episodes, but somehow I suspect that the file names that would result from using it on, say, Digimon Adventure 02: Vol. 1: Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Vol. 2: Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals would be deeply troublesome.
Would it be possible for the template to be amended with an {{#if:
conditional (like on Template:Screenshots) that would permit, at the very minimum, a custom prefix to be used instead of the page title? Being able to input "M03" would go a long way toward solving the hypothetical Hurricane Landing problem. Ideally, I think it'd also be great if one could just put in an arbitrary filename as an alternative to being tethered to the [pagename/custom_prefix]_[number].jpg
formula, but that's less important IMO. --Pluvia (talk) 08:35, 10 September 2022 (CDT)
