Talk:Sekiryumon
From Wikimon
Etymology[edit]
It seems to be inspired by the Red Dragon Chìlóng that is associated with the Summer. Its japanese name is Sekiryuu「赤竜(せきりゅう)」. ShikaSS (talk) 06:13, 9 October 2026 (CDT)
Amanagi[edit]
Given the contexts, I believe Amanagi is a portmanteau of Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi and Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, resulting in "Heaven-Cutting Sword". Rending is more majestic, but given that "Grass-Cutting" is the translation most familiar to people who know a little about Kusanagi's cultural cache, I think using the "-Cutting" translation emphasizes the portmanteau nature of the name.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 10:45, 9 October 2026 (CDT)
