I'm posting the literal translation of the Burst bio here, as a certain part of it seems to call for a good bit of finessing, and I might get it wrong.KrytenKoro06 20:36, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

A gigantic Demon Dragon Digimon which possesses eight heads. However, while there are eight heads, seven of them are dummies, while the black head in the middle is the real one. The origin of Orochimon is ancient, and its menace to the Ancient Digital World is old, and certain area was driven until it at the brink of annihilation, but it was sealed by the tamer of a "being" who was trying to preserve the harmony of the Digital World. Its Signature Move is to make the opponent completely drunk by intoxicating them with its alcohol-filled breath (Sake Breath). Its Special Move is to make the tip of its tail become as sharp as a sword and then cut up the opponent.

The third sentence baffled me as well, I could understand what it was getting at, but with it being awkardly written... --Ainz 21:04, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I've believe that third line means more like this:

The roots of Orochimon's creation are old, it was a menace in the Ancient Digital World for a long time, and was such an existence that even drove a certain Area into annihilation, but it was sealed by the herald of an "entity" that sought to preserve the harmony of the Digital World.

あるエリアを壊滅状態にまで追い込んだことがる程の存在だったが、

• although being of the degree that certain areas were driven until the status of destruction

デジタルワールドの調和を保とうとする“存在”の使いによって封印されていた。

• was sealed due to the tamer of a "being" which sought to preserve the Digital World's harmony .

The roots of Orochimon's creation are old, and even in the Ancient Digital World its menace was thing immemorial, but although it was a being that could drive an Area to the very brink of destruction, it was sealed due to the tamer of a "being" which sought to preserve the harmony of the Digital World.

It sounds good except for the last part. You might not know since it is one of those grammar curiosities, but when Japanese use "xxxの使い" it usually means "a servant of xxx". That's why I translated the term as "herald" and not "tamer" in my translation. If you think about it, it actually makes more sense this way. --Libra00 18:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
