Eosmon (Perfect) is capable of cloning herself[edit]
I was reading Eosmon's entry on tvtropes and it said that Eosmon (Perfect) can clone herself.
So I rewatched Kizuna with a critical eye and I have to say I agree. Eosmon (Perfect) cloned herself and is not a digimon that was mass produced by Menoa.
- Menoa is not capable of producing Digimon. She was not able to bring Morphomon's lifeless data back to life.
- The Aurora at the start of the film gave the spark of life to Morphomon's lifeless data, creating 1 Eosmon and only 1 Eosmon.
- Only 1 Eosmon was stealing the consciousness of other people
- There was only 1 Eosmon until the climax of the film at which point Menoa summons an army of them from the pool of water everyone was standing on.
- Eosmon (Perfect) beats 4 adult level digimon by herself yet her clones get defeated by single Adult level digimon. The fact that Greymon and Garurumon defeated the first Eosmon without much difficulty indicates that this Eosmon was a clone and the real Eosmon was under the water.
- Throughout the entire fight Menoa refers to Eosmon as a single digimon. When she called the army of Eosmon to emerge she called them "Eosmon" instead of "Eosmons". She also called her entire army "my digimon" instead of "my digimons". And she called her entire army a "goddess" she created instead of "goddesses".
- When the original Eosmon dies, all the other Eosmon (Perfect) dies as well which points to them being linked to the original somehow, which suggests they were an extension of the original, aka clones that are maintained by the strength of the original instead of being independent entities with their own Digitamas.
- Correct me if I'm wrong as I don't play the 2020 card game, but it is my understanding that one of the Eosmon (Perfect) cards' main ability is creating clones of herself when she attacks.
So if we look at all of this, I think it's clear that Eosmon (Perfect) is capable of cloning herself like Diablomon did in the first movie and she cloned herself when Menoa snapped her fingers and called her name.
If there is no disagreement I will be editing her page to include her ability to clone herself (unless someone more experienced decides to do it first!).Nobody19111911 (talk) 06:25, 13 January 2025 (CST)
- there was more than one eosmon lv4. The one she has fight omnimon at the start is a clone and she expected it to die to Omnimon. She wasn’t just willingly killing her partner for fun at the start of the movie. That’d go against her entire plan. The effect you’re referring to summons a new lv 4 or lv5. Not just lv5. - Ok, I confirmed that the Eosmon (Adult) is a clone. In the internet fight Eosmon (Perfect) gets its arm blown off. The Eosmon that appeared behind Menoa when talking to Koshiro had its arm missing and the Eosmon that got its ass kicked and lost consciousness from Garurumon also had its arm missing as well and since we know that Eosmon was a clone the internet Eosmon was a clone too.
- Which means Eosmon (Adult) has the ability to clone itself as well.
- I read the two novels just now. Both the Dash x Bunko version and the Shueisha Mirai Bunko version, and Dash x Bunko version explains why the tens of thousands (novel said tens of thousands) of Eosmons (Perfect) were so weak. They didn't have much stamina.
- I think it's uncontested that the entire Eosmon clone swarm is a single hivemind entity controlled by only 1 Eosmon considering the fact that Menoa addresses the whole swarm without using plurals (my digimon, a goddess I made, etc.), and the fact that they all go poof at the same time when dead
- So the question is, is Menoa, who is incapable of making a digimon without the Aurora and received only 1 digimon from the Aurora, capable of not only cloning Eosmon tens of thousands of times (according to the novels there were tens of thousands of Eosmon clones) but also link them together to create a hive mind thing OR Eosmon (Adult) just had the ability to clone itself a bajillion times?
- I'd say the latter is more plausible as not only would it explain why the tens of thousands of Eosmons didn't have much stamina (because Eosmon expended most of her stamina to create such a large number of clones on the spot), but also why Menoa never used plurals to refer to her army. Because she just made the 1 with the help of the Aurora and the 1 multiplied like Diablomon did, making the whole thing just 1 entity.
- There's also the fact that Menoa shown genuine astonishment when Eosmon (Adult) digivolved, which means the Eosmon (Perfect) clone army had to have been created after the internet fight.
- What are your thoughts? Do you think I'm spouting nonsense? I will admit, I have a biased eye on this matter. Nobody19111911 (talk) 06:25, 13 January 2025 (CST)
- I’d say there’s too much head canon in involved and that all we know is: there’s clones and menoa is aware. Did she make them? Maybe. Did eosmon make them? Maybe. The mega can make clones btw. Who’s to say the end of the movie was the only time it was mega? Muur (talk) 13:37, 13 January 2025 (CST)
- Eosmon (Ultimate) was achieved by Menoa's extreme emotion + the body parts of a ton of dead clones. No clones = no Mega so I think it's safe to say that that was the first time Eosmon digivolved into mega. Also if we assume Menoa's reaction to Eosmon (Adult) digivolving during the fight is genuine, then that was the first time Eosmon evolved.
- I'll just organize all the final arguments in case someone else wants to join the discussion

- Eosmon (Adult) being able to clone itself
- Menoa has no ability to create digimon and received only one digimon during the Aurora so it's unlikely she has the ability to clone digimon when she couldn't even make one.
- Menoa referring to the entire Eosmon swarm without plurals. (My digimon, digimon I created, Goddess I made, Eosmon instead of Eosmons.)
- Menoa's astonishment that Eosmon (Adult) evolved during the fight which suggests that the Eosmon (Perfect) army later in the film did not exist before then. I believe an interview said her reaction to Omegamon was genuine but no mention on whether her reaction to Eosmon (Adult) digivolving was genuine.
- Clones not having much stamina pointing to them being created on the spot right then and there instead of being pre-mass produced.
- An Eosmon (Perfect)'s card effect in Digimon 2020 card game is making more Eosmons Lv4s and Lv5s.
- Eosmon (Adult) being able to clone itself
- Eosmon (Adult) NOT being able to clone itself
- Absolutely no mention about Eosmon (Adult) or Eosmon (Perfect) cloning itself in the digimon reference book.
- Most of the points above are speculation rather than hard facts and bad writing which is rampant in this series can explain almost everything above.
- Digimon card game effects are not a source.
- The scene were the tens of thousands of Eosmon pop out is ambiguous whether that was Eosmon cloning or just a bunch of pre-made clones emerging since the one armed clone emerged the same way.
- Eosmon (Adult) NOT being able to clone itself
