Captain Hookmon is a reliable hero-like ship's captain Digimon that exerts the command ability in the pirate ship that cruises on the Digital World. Excels at the art of surviving, as it strongly feels the responsibility of supporting its subordinates, it knows firsthand just how difficult that is. Thus, it is skillful in behaving gentlemanly even before an opponent it dislikes not only to cross the oceans, but also to make a living. He is not brutal to the point of unreasonably challenging others to a fight, but if challenged to a fight it will meet the enemy with all its powers. Its forte is a wild fighting-style that freely uses the anchor equipped on its hand (Rage Giga Anchor), which reveals Captain Hookmon's intimidating air to the enemy just by being prepared to use, and the Pirates Punisher that possesses gradual-attack and firing functions. The revolver built into its right leg (Leg Revolver) is a technique adequate for surprise attacks, but Captain Hookmon is enough of a gentleman to venture firing after giving a warning.
